OUR STORY
Our story began in 1918, when my grandfather, Said Rasheed, established our family bakery in Kurdistan. With skilled hands and a love for baking, he began a tradition that has remained in our family for more than a century.
In 1962, my father, Said Jamal, carried that legacy forward, preserving the recipes and craftsmanship passed down to him.
Today, I, Joe Jwamer Rasheed, proudly continue their legacy as the third generation at Afandi Sweets & Cafe, honoring the traditions entrusted to me by my father and grandfather.
Our sweets are made fresh, from scratch, with organic ingredients, freshly prepared dough, pure pistachios, and organic honey. Every batch reflects the care, patience, and pride our family has brought to baking for generations.
This bakery is our family’s history, our hospitality, and a piece of home we are honored to share with you.
